Paragliders Tehnology

In very high-speed competition gliders, the classic way of designing the leading edge is inadequate. Over many years, Gin Gliders have developed a patented technology called Rigifoil.
For speeds of 55 km/h and more, an enhanced system is now necessary to support effective leading edge stability. GIN engineers further enhanced this technology, creating a unique, elegant and sophisticated solution.

The Leading Edge battens of the Rigifoil Max system connect top and bottom surfaces, which, when combined with a unique inlet shape offers 3 main benefits:
it alleviates deformation of the leading edge providing more stability over 55 km/h
better performance and glide ratio at maximum accelerated speed
better performance in head wind and rough condition situations

The Rigifoil is a re-enforcement on the leading edge. It has several functions:

• keeps the airfoil in perfect shape, producing a smooth airflow over the wing and a constant pressure inside it. As a result, the glider retains more energy, pitches less and glides better.
• makes the leading edge more resistant to pressure on the top surface, giving increased acceleration, stability at speed, and maximum speed.
• holds open the air inlets, allowing fast and progressive inflation and re-inflation.
The overall effect is like an extra, invisible cell in the glider.

The Rigifoil is available in the Boomerang 4 and Boomerang Sport standard production models. (It was also available on the Nomad and Boomerang II & III.) Gin Gliders Inc. holds an international patent (no. PCT/KR00/00665) on this system

A unique acceleration system that offers the pilot increased feedback through the speed bar pressure
The “Kick-Down System” helps the pilot to be more aware of the incidence of the wing and therefore glide performance.
At 50% acceleration there is marked increase in pressure to alert the pilot of his position along the polar curve.

The Kick-Down system is available in the Boomerang Sport standard production models.

The GIN Keel System was developed to enhance directional stability by using a keel pocket with centralized line attachment points.
The new system also means:
• more precise piloting with weight shift,
• increased sensations in thermalling,
• easy handling without yaw movement,
• increased pitch stability and comfort in flight...

The GIN Keel system is available in the Zulu standard production models

An easy or intermediate paraglider designed with the "Pitch Control System" and in combination with the "Keel System" has a completely different feel and behavior in straight flight than other gliders.
When making transition on Cross Country flights the new era of Gin Gliders fly more like high performance gliders with less pitch movement which equals more efficiency.
With a head wind or turbulence the efficiency really shines and gets you there higher without pushing the speedbar or being nervous.

The Aerocone Inflatable Fairing system can be quickly zip onto the back of the Genie race to gain extra points in glide (delivered as standard with the harness).

Inflation system from the side of the harness.
Can not be adapted on other harness of the GIN range.
